Selamat malam everybody, hows your day (tuesday is my holiday from teaching, time to kick back n relax :P) So, this precious day I spent, no other way than to try some new recipe. Banana Bread!!! hooray (seriously in person I’m very goofy and totally clumsy) It’s so easy n effortless, you will be amazed by its simplicity.

Pisang, I adore this fruit, buah terenak n bergizi, my personal favourites pisang raja n pisang susu (scrumptious!)

1.Okay, siapkan 3-4 buah pisang raja, make sure those bananas are sweet (never ever use bananas that are unfully ripe) kuncinya, pisang2 tsb harus matang n manis! you need also, some 2 sendok teh vanilla, rum n banana perasa (flavours, u can buy them anywhere). 1 Cup of sugars (250 ml), 1 1/2 Cup of All purposed flour (400 ml tepung terigu), 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (100 ml), 3 butir telur, 2 teaspoons of baking soda n baking powder and a pinch of salt.

2. Hancurkan pisang, (mashed it) jgn sampai terlalu halus, just until its quite lumpy.

3. Campur tepung terigu, baking powder n soda, garam.

4. Melt the butter n sugar (just leave it in the microwave for 40 seconds) Please don’t leave them to long…

5. Mix the flour n all with the melted butter n sugar, afterwards mix also one at a time the eggs.

6. Next mix the dough with the mashed banana, hmmm until this point u can easily smell the sweet banana n sugar. Stir nicely, try not to use the electric mixer at this stage, it will ruin the nice n lumpy bananas. Then add the perasa, the rum will enhance its pungent smell.

7. Put it in the oven for about an hour, on 180′ celcius heat.

Voila!! it will puff up and dazzle u with its mouthwatering smell n texture.

My students absolutely delighted by this heartwarming bread. Just try n experience the outcome, you will make everybody smile!!!

S’lamat malam dearest beloved, setiap orang di masa-masa kesulitannya pasti memiliki ’save haven’, tempat untuk menampung lelah dan rasa sakit.

Au_aussieYour sanctuary could be anyone or anything. Mine is most definitely my family (missing my baby sisters, ayu and Lia hiks…) I would’ve been nothing without my family. The picture is my little sister Ayu, she’s currently studying in Australia :) She’s gorgeous, visit her friendster!

But in my own time, for tranquillity, mostly I spent it by reading (such a bookworm) You name it, I hunt the book. Lebih baik kelaparan deh (it’s true, most of my income evaporated in the name of poetry, or cookbooks). My most valuable book would’ve been Amir Hamzah’s Padamu Jua (it’s really old) Padamu jua adalah puisi terindah sepanjang masa!! Edgar Allan Poe (my fave is Annabell Lee), Pablo Neruda (of course), Tagore!, and I’m looking for Ajip Rosidi, if I’m not mistaken the title of the poetry is ‘Jakarta’, (kalau ada yang punya, boleh pinjem ngga ?)

It is compulsory, for you, whom ’stuck in the moment’, (ah the battle to overcome inertia and deppression) to have Niggela Lawson’s book, its cooking within the rejoyce of healing. Must have! read it, then take some action, cooking is not some primitive unfeminized behaviour, cooking is art!!! C’est l’art!!! It gives unexplainable bliss.

My other definitive joy is my pets. Basically I’m a sucker for all animal (I’ve been biten once by a phyton, relax it was venomless) But my dogs are my silent companion, they are undisputably loyal, n they always understand my tiresome habit. Namanya lucu-lucu deh anjingku, The eldest, is a white pomerian called Bonty, trus pom kesayanganku namanya Chibo with dark brown coat(kecil but totally cerewet) I have a Golden Retriver, a fatty, guenduuuut bgt, namanya Blueberry, I have also a shitsu named Donat, and latest to the family, is a Siberian Husky named Burger, and a Rottweiller named Mayoneisse, with the sum of 7 dogs, my house is a constant chaos, my mom and I by now are experts in managing chaos hehehe.

Well, this is my simple life, truthfully, I don’t see anything that can be compared to this exquisite happiness, at least for me.
